Software Manager ad and job description:
We are looking to hire a talented Software Manager to develop, source and implement software solutions, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing software. As a Software Manager, you will be responsible for working with operations to set specifications and capability requirements and determine the best platform and resources to execute. Oversee or execute implementation and training. Additionally, you will need to be able to maintain the resultant platform(s) and oversee future development and improvements. This position will be based in our Laurel, MD office and will be 100% in the office. We are flexible for normal home life issues which need to be addressed from time to time.
You should have extensive knowledge of web technologies, a firm understanding of database best-practices, MS SQL, proficiency with SharePoint and MS Power Platform development, MS Office software, and the ability to solve complex issues. Ultimately, you should be able to develop, source and maintain intuitive, scalable software/web apps that meet company requirements.
Software Manager Responsibilities:
Lead effort to determine and implement company software requirements.
Lead effort to improve and maintain existing software platforms.
Lead effort to develop and implement software training.
Working with other departments in the development effort
Configuring company systems to meet requirements.
Extending web functionality as business indicates
Testing and debugging website and application behavior.
Troubleshooting software issues
Maintaining and updating web applications
Providing training manuals and hands on training to users
Software Manager Requirements:
Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Power Platform development
Working experience with MS SQL databases, including scripting
Experience with MS Power Platform, HTML5, XML, and Web Services
Strong coding skills/aptitude
Ability to solve complex problems.
Ability to project manage.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or comparable experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,798.71 - $100,918.88 per year
