Hiring Salary Range: $38.0 - 38.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Join our dynamic Pluto TV Engineering team as a Software Engineering Intern and help shape the future of our cutting-edge projects at Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service in America with 250+ live and original channels. This is a hybrid role based in our Los Angeles or New York City office.
- Work collaboratively on a scrum team of approximately 6 to 8 developers and testers.
- Create solution design and implement ReactNative application components.
- Refactoring, bug fixing and upgrading tools and libraries in existing codebase.
- Performance optimization of ReactNative application.
- Fix software defects in PlutoTV RN applications on any number of device platforms, like Xbox, LG TVs, Website, etc.
- Evaluate unit test code coverage in PlutoTV app and create new unit tests where code coverage is low.
- Experience working with Javascript, Node.js, Next.js, ReactNative, Gluestack and Amazon EKS.
Eligibility:
- Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors, or Master's students in the fall of 2024. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
- You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
- Internship format will be 100% in person, this may include some weekends.
- Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
- Internships are not eligible for a relocation / housing stipend.
