Software Engineer

Summary: Hiring a Software Engineer with expertise in object-oriented programming and electrical engineering for project management, coding, and technical design.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with object-oriented programming (C, C++, etc.)

• Electrical Engineering education or experience along with Software Engineering

• Able to define project requirements, identify grey areas in software definitions, make decisions around the requirements and code accordingly

• Capable of SW Project Management including planning/documentation/defining requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Experience putting code into PLCs/Embedded Controllers (Schneider machine expert is IDE- linux, .net)

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or CS degree with controls experience

• Experience as a mentor and coach who empowers the team to make mistakes and learn as they go

• PID loop experience or controls experience or PLC design experience

• Passionate about renewable energy/working within microgrids

Responsibilities:

• 50% of week spent on project planning/documentation/defining requirements

• 50% of week spent reviewing team's code, helping them figure out what to work on next

• Learning Microgrid technologies

• Spending 80% of day coding for the technologies

• Writing own technical designs

• Writing statement of work.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
