Days / Hours: Mon - Fri / 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Summary of Duties: Serve as .NET Developer for company's Pulse point-of-sales system. Interpret functional requirements and design, develop and implement software solutions. Write solutions using Enterprise .NET technology. Responsible for software development and supporting point-of-sales system using Microsoft .NET systems, processes and application programming interface (APIs) for in-store applications. Provide technical leadership on solutions developed. Participate in code and architectural peer review activities. Keep up to date with latest .NET. Perform design reviews to ensure alignment to architectural approach. Assist practice area leader in defining and refining standards and best practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, Software Development or any combination thereof in Microsoft .Net technology. Employer will also accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study and 3 years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Development or any combination thereof in Microsoft .Net technology in lieu of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

1. .NET, VB and SQL Server technologies;
2. conducting proofs-of-concept and developing prototypes for new system services;
3. collaborating with architects in other domains including infrastructure, security and business domains;
4. analyzing functional requirements and designs to implement them into software modules;
5. identifying software development process improvements;
6. testing software modules; and
7. using multiple data storage and access techniques including abstraction layers, DAOs and RDBMS (Relational Database Management System), to include SQL Server.
