SUMMARY
Seeking a hands-on Experienced Back-end or Full Stack Developer who will join our development team. The ideal developer will bring their experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive development initiatives. As a Back-end Developer you’ll be focused on design, development as well as continuous integration and delivery in Amazon Web Services (AWS) as we build and scale our online applications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Maintain and improve our platform that will be used by our SaaS customer. Architect, design, and write high-performance, highly-available, and maintainable software. Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers and other engineers to plan, design and implement business requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, including on coding, testing, debugging and deployment
- Collaborate with Front-end and Back-end developers
- Define and communicate technical and design requirements
- Provide training, help and support to other team members
- Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future
- Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Learn about new technologies
- Stay up to date with current best practices
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
- Experience with building REST APIs
- Working knowledge of the MERN stack
- Good working knowledge of development, security, SDLC best practices
- Experience with back-end languages and frameworks, ie: Javascript, NodeJS, ExpressJS, etc
- Experience with microservice architectures
- Experience with serverless technologies
- Experience with DynamoDB and Redis
- Experience with test driven development and testing tools, ie: Mocha, Chai
- Experience with container deployment, ie: Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools, ie: Jenkins, Travis CI, CodePipeline
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
- Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with front-end languages and frameworks, ie: HTML, JavaScript and CSS, React, AngularJS
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, ie: Lambda , SQS, SNS, EC2, ECS
- AWS Certifications
- History of working with Agile software development practices
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s (Master’s Degree a plus) Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines is preferred. Five (5) plus years of software development experience with a focus on frontend development and technologies; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Need to be able to demonstrate understanding of object-oriented design principles and ability to learn new technologies with limited guidance.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
· AWS – Software Development Engineer or similar

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate software design with various skill levels. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Need to be able to demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems and must be comfortable with a high level of ambiguity.
