The Details: 

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will partner with our Automation Engineering Leader in developing and maintaining our suite of automated tests. The SDET will also work collaboratively with the BA(s), Development and QA teams in developing testing solutions across the corporation's products. They will be responsible for helping to implement Quality Assurance best practices for automation, working with BA(s), development and QA team to coordinate testing efforts, prepare test plans, and help develop best practices that will support an existing agile development methodology.

What will you do?: 

• Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Develop and maintain Test scripts and test suites using Java /Spring Boot technology.
• Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins.
• Create and maintain Docker containers for test environments, ensuring consistency and reproducibility.
• Develop automated test scripts, execute comprehensive test suites, and diligently identify, document, and report any discovered defects
• Participate in code reviews to identify and provide feedback on testability and quality of software code.
• Work closely with development teams to analyze and resolve complex technical issues and contribute to improving software design and quality.
• Monitor and analyze test automated results, identify trends, and report on quality metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Continuously research and stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements

What we are looking for:  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong hands-on experience with Java programming and related technologies.
• Proficiency in Spring and Spring Boot for building and testing applications
• Experience with Docker for containerization and orchestration.
• Demonstrated expertise in setting up and configuring Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, or similar.
• Demonstrated experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and web application testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
• Experience in all stages of application testing including UI, backend, functional, regression
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Insurance or Financial Services experience a plus
• Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with demanding internal and external deadlines
• Experience testing Pega, Salesforce or other types of BPM applications (Preferred)
• Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as Python or Ruby (Preferred).
• Experience with other CI/CD tools, such as GitLab CI (Preferred).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Github) and source code management (preferred).
• Understanding of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (preferred)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related testing tools (preferred).

CCPA Job Applicant: 

Pay Range: $90,000-$135,000

The above pay range is for all US-based roles based on function and level, benchmarked against companies of similar size and scope. To be compliant with local legislation as well as provide greater transparency to candidates, we disclose salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired job location. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and the opportunity for annual long-term incentive stock grants. In addition, we offer a highly competitive benefits package. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and qualifications, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
