Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer 2 (Frontend Development - React) in Minneapolis, MN.
Essential Responsibilities:
This Software Engineer 2 (Frontend Development - React) will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The Software Engineer 2 (Frontend Development - React) is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Responsibilities include: designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products; full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code; create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; make sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront; takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards; conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices; exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards; embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation; contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement; reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; and anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation. Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems Technologies - Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a related technical field plus two years of related experience. Will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems Technologies - Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a related technical field and 5 years of related experience in lieu of a Master's degree and 2 years.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 2 years of experience with Master's or 5 years of experience with Bachelor's with: performing software analysis, technical design, development, establishing architecture standards and best practices for online web application specific to banking and financial domain; SDLC; unit testing, integration, user acceptance testing, and functional testing; developing accessible web applications and hybrid mobile applications in Angular JS and React JS; JavaScript; Visual Studio; GIT; and TFS. Telecommuting available anywhere in the U.S. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $135,200 - $150,500.
