General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Engineer Associate
The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle.
Day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Assist with analyzing business goals, objectives, and needs of a department or customer
- Perform research and analysis in support of operations
- Help department or customer plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Assists in the completion of engineering tasks
- Assists with the development of solutions to engineering problems of limited scope
- Assist with systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
- Assists with the oversight of infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Assists with performing systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Assists with continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies
- Assists with the documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
- Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
- Help launch new initiatives, participate in projects. Help tract progress, milestones and deadlines for various projects
- Prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents
- Performs administrative and other duties assigned under close supervision
Security Clearance:
- Active SECRET security clearance preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
Travel:
