About the job

 

The Migration Conversion Team is looking for a Sr Associate Software Developer to help move SAS9 objects over to Viya 4. Join our team If you enjoy learning new things and working on something that is different we currently have 2 teams one that works on a UI/UX and one that works on a conversion service that is continually updated as we move objects over to the target application UI. This work is critical to SAS being successfully in getting our customers off of SAS9 and moved to Viya.

 

As a Sr Associate Software Developer, you will:

• Develop and support robustquality engineeringsolutionsateverylayerof thesoftware developmentlife cycle.

• Empower your teamtocontinuously deliverenterprise gradesoftware toproductionbyengineering qualityintothe continuous deliverypipeline.

• Create and maintainthe highest quality of Rest APIs, using modern development techniques, and provide key data points to supportmetrics-baseddecision making.

• Capitalize uponyour creativityby developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

• Produce key data that illustrates the quality of applications and develop insight that drives the direction of quality engineering.

• Work with your team to promptly triage test failures with precisionand accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipeline.

• Work collaboratively with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality.

• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications

 

• At least 2 years of experience in code development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

• Programing experience in one or more of the following languages: Java Go, JavaScript, Typescript, React

• Demonstrated proficiencyinat least oneof the followingprogramming languages:Go, Java, Rest APIs, and Groovy, React TypeScript, Java Script.
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.

• You're interested in the future of Analytics and learning and embracing new technology.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient withsource control management techniques (Git) including branching, code review,and merging.
• Possesses a demonstrated understanding of the Customer Experienceand the empathy needed to improveit. 
• You are flexible and excited by the possibility of working on the latest problems and new products as additional requirements arise.
