Hennepin County Public Health Clinical Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced licensed mental health professional with interest in staff supervision and the desire to develop, implement, and guide the operations of Cope, a 24/7 365-day mobile mental health crisis program. This position joins a supervisory team working with licensed mental health professionals, mental health practitioners, on-call staff, and support staff who provide crisis intervention services for persons of all ages and their families. Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at Hennepin County community sites and remote as job duties require. Work hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will:
- Select, supervise and oversee multi-disciplinary crisis program staff including 24/7 coverage of call center, mobile response, stabilization, and financial team operations.
- Provide clinical supervision and consultation for staff.
- Utilize principles and practices of clinical social work, psychology, and/or counseling; suicide risk assessment; ethics; psychopathology and psychodynamics of behavior; clinical interview techniques; individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy methods, and community resources available for specialized treatment programs.
- Interact with staff, co-supervisors, and other internal and external stakeholders with respect and create a positive and respectful workplace that is person-centered, trauma informed, and culturally responsive.
- Ensure service delivery is in accordance with program and county policy, core values, and mission; rules, regulations, and statutes governing mental health crisis intervention; and sound clinical practice.
- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or human services, plus 27 quarter credits of graduate work in areas such as social work methods, human growth and behavior, principles of social welfare, and four years of supervised experience as a Social Worker.
- Master's degree or higher in social work or closely related field (or licensed as a graduate Social Worker by the Minnesota Board of Social Work) and three years of experience as a Social Worker.
- Six years or more of experience as a Senior/Psychiatric/Child Protection Social Worker in Hennepin County.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Minnesota certification(s)/licensure(s) in one or more of the following: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Psychologist (LP)
- Knowledge of:
- Cultural differences in beliefs and practices relating to mental health, treatment, family structure, and dynamics.
- Knowledge of government and community mental health response systems and resources.
- Electronic health record documentation.
- Suicide prevention and intervention research and best practice.
- Ethics, rules and statutes related to mental health services.
- Mental health best practice and standards.
- Norms and values of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and culturally specific treatment.
- Ability to:
- Function well in unpredictable and challenging situations calling for sensitivity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and independent judgment.
- Effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds and/or populations who experience health disparities; bilingual skills preferred.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including other emergency responders such as EMS and law enforcement.
