Shift/Hours/FTE: Varies

Expected Starting Salary Range: $28.50/hr - $35/hr

Cincinnati Children’s Behavioral Medicine Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry programs are seeking dedicated mental health therapists to join our award-winning teams. Cincinnati Children’s has several therapy-based Social Worker/Clinical Counselor openings in our Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Clinical Psychology programs. Areas of focus include:

ADHD Summer Treatment Program: Provide evidence-based evaluations for suspected ADHD in children and adolescents, delivering group treatment programs including behavioral parent training and academic executive function skills training, and individual/family therapy. Eating Disorders Clinic: Direct patient care includes using evidence-based treatment (EBT) modalities such as Family Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Behavioral Parent Training. Providers will strengthen their risk assessment and safety planning skills and receive advanced training in the application of EBT with patients with eating disorders, thus developing advanced expertise in these areas. Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH): In partnership with our Physician Health Organization, IBH is focused on improving the health of the children in our community through integrating behavioral health into primary care. Our goal is to strengthen child and family functioning by focusing on prevention and early intervention for behavioral and mental health concerns during families' primary care clinic visits.

Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP): Implement innovative approaches to treatment for mental health concerns, providing direct patient care. Direct patient care includes seeing patients twice weekly for approximately five weeks using evidence-based treatment (EBT) modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Behavioral Parent Training.

Moving Beyond Depression: Therapists offer a fifteen-week cognitive behavioral treatment for maternal depression, collaborating with providers at the pediatric primary care clinics through Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to provide treatment to mothers who are experiencing depression. . Outpatient: Cincinnati Children’s outpatient services are available for children and adolescents whose illnesses can be managed without inpatient care. Services include medication management, individual and group therapy.

Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC): PIRC provides high-quality evaluations and access to mental health services across the entire continuum of care. The service provides the community with reliable, professional triage and assessment by licensed independent behavioral health clinicians.

School Based Programs: Partner with area school districts to improve access to care within the community. This optional and confidential service is offered in addition to existing services provided by school counselors and psychologists.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social work and LISW license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board

OR

  • Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and LPCC license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board
