POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for providing equitable access, service delivery and outcomes for youth by providing direct care, leadership and supervision that is consistent with the agency’s mission, policies, and regulatory bodies. The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for assessing the competencies and job performance of the Social Workers and Interns and providing individualized supervision to promote staff development that results in trauma informed quality treatment and services.
The Social Work Supervisor interacts with administrative and treatment staff, as well as numerous outside agencies and other professionals. The Social Work Supervisor will be accountable to the Director of Education. The Social Work Supervisor is expected to maintain appropriate personal boundaries with all people while on shift. The Social Work Supervisor is expected to be sensitive to a culturally diverse population. The Social Work Supervisor will be expected to perform other related duties.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications & Licensure:
- Licensure in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and Connecticut (SDE) Certification as a School Social Worker (Endorsement #071), required.
- Two years’ experience.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical and supervisory skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to design and implement therapeutic interventions to promote positive change.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Ability to work well independently within a treatment team philosophy. Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
