Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Schedule: 20-40 hours per week between 8AM to 4:30PM Monday-Friday
Location: Primary location is 4000 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 2702, Fairfax, VA 22030. However, the position may require support in other areas of Fairfax County as needed.
Note: This is a non-merit G-status position. The selected applicant cannot exceed 900 hours per calendar year.
Under the supervision of the Advocacy Services Senior Victim Advocate, provides case management and court accompaniment support to SSII Advocates to meet the goals and objectives of the Improving Criminal Justice Responses (ICJR) to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking grant. Supports SSII victim advocates by providing case management, court accompaniment, data documentation, referrals, and warm hand offs to programs and services on behalf of victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, and stalking. Completes exchange of paperwork with victims/survivors for signatures/information sharing and service delivery. Assists with outreach and training events as assigned. Carries out other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bilingual
- Ability to resolve issues/concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Experience working in a Human Services environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Organized and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
- Ability to use automated technology to establish and maintain case records;
- Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of client information;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals;
- Ability to schedule and manage workload sufficiently to meet deadlines.
Necessary Special Requirements:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and child protective services check.
