This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Data and Systems Group (DSG).
As a Social Science Research Analyst (Lead), GS-0101-14, you will provide technical direction and leadership to a highly technical professional staff. The incumbent is viewed by management as a key Agency focal point for these activities.Qualifications:ALL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.

In order to qualify for the GS-14, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
1) Using healthcare data for technical evaluations and to evaluate data quality;
2) Interpreting healthcare data to assist with advising on healthcare policies and data products; 3)Collaborating across multiple discipline areas of an organization to manage data-driven products to include research, data analytics and data ingestion products, analyses, and reporting in support of healthcare related topics; e.g., enrollment tracking, expenditure modeling, demonstration evaluations, program integrity, maternal and infant health, substance use disorders; AND
4) Preparing written, technical and non-technical, documents and presentations of data analysis findings for diverse audiences; e.g., end users, financial staff, senior leadership, and other non-technical audiences.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.Education:Education Requirement: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements, all candidates must have the following educational requirements:
Degree: behavioral or Social Science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or Social Sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or Social Sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
