Summary
- The Social Media Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting and managing the content for the Bank's Social Media channels.
- This position helps communicate the Bank's community involvement and sponsorships to our customers, businesses and other industry influencers.
- This position will research target audiences, schedule posts, and update news feeds; assist in web content development for the Bank's website, Intranet, and all Social Media platforms; and analyze new Social Media platforms for future growth and development opportunities.
- The Social Media Specialist will also monitor and report on the Bank's social channels and review channels to gain customer insight, respond to customer posts, and to gather competitive intelligence.
- The Social Media Specialist will create reports showcasing principal business and social metrics for presentation to management.
- The Social Media Specialist will draft press releases or other communications as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with unique strategies and guidance for all of ANB's social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and to the Bank's digital platforms such as the website and Intranet.
- Develops compelling content for all Social Media platforms to include daily posts, articles, photos, and videos.
- Maintains a consistent customer experience in look and feel for all social channels.
- Identifies opportunities, tools and trends in the social space and recommend the best course of action with justifiable metrics.
- Maintain consistent system of measurement and evaluation of Social Media program success.
- Understand current trends, technologies and advancements in social and online review sites.
- Monitors all Social Media and news sources as the primary lead during bank business hours and part of the Bank's Social Media response team after hours for brand mentions.
- Engages users in online/social environments, particularly Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Maintains and enhances editorial Social Media calendars and ensures content is published appropriately and on time.
- Writes press releases and other external and internal communications for the bank and ensures alignment between digital and traditional media communications.
- Responsible for tracking all sponsorships, donations, and community involvement initiatives for each branch.
- Manages and tracks complaints and compliments from Bank customers through Social Media, review sites, lobby surveys, letters, and other communications to management.
- Works with third parties including agencies and vendors if needed.
- Maintains a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Experience & Education
- Two years of experience working with Social Media and/or communications.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in communications, journalism or related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
