Job Title:Social Media and Communications Specialist
Department: Mercury Communications
Reports to: Manager, Communications and Social Media
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
DaVita is looking for a creative and ambitious Social Media specialist to join our dynamic communications team. In this role, you would support the creation, distribution and analysis of Social Media content and related communications initiatives.
Key duties include writing, graphic design, coordinating Social Media content strategy, community management, reporting and performance tracking, with the opportunity to support other high-impact communications special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social media content development – Curate, create and deliver Social Media content to key audiences across various channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram; maintain content calendar to support strategic topics and initiatives; discover and develop storylines for Social Media via internal and external sources.
- Social care monitoring and listening – Act as a community manager for official brand Social Media accounts; leverage online monitoring and listening tools to identify brand-impacting conversations; partner with other teams to help enhance and advance the brand through online interactions.
- Graphic design – Assist in the creation of engaging photo and short-from video content to drive engagement across all social platforms.
- Owned content generation – Support an integrated editorial approach across the broader communications team, contributing ideas to increase traffic and engagement on both social and owned media channels.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of experience in Social Media communications and marketing, with knowledge and understanding of the changing Social Media landscape required.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field preferred.
- Expertise in creating and managing content for a wide-range of Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube required.
- Familiarity with Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or others preferred.
- Experience with graphic design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Canva, or Snappa preferred.
- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create content for a variety of channels required.
- Ability to manage projects and campaigns, with supervision, with accountability for tactical execution and outcomes.
- Practice in meeting deadlines under pressure and balancing priorities to meet the needs of a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to self-start, think creatively and solve problems strategically.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Salary/ Wage Range
$51,400.00 - $75,500.00 / yearCompensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
