Job description

This position requires strategic thinking ability and excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills. The role requires both deep, thoughtful work and administrative duties. Since the Social Media Manager is on the front lines of the Atlanta culinary scene, a considerable level of awareness of the restaurant industry as well as lifestyle marketing trends is expected.
The Social Media Manager is directly responsible for many aspects of Fifth Group Restaurants' marketing initiatives and online reputation management including but not limited to the list below. The Social Media Manager for Fifth Group is the voice of our brands and reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
Job Responsibilities
  • Using Social Media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand, including Fifth Group Restaurants, Bold Catering and Design and all restaurant/unit brand profiles. This includes all profiles, linktree and bitly links, highlights and such for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Act as the voice of the individual FGR businesses to consistently market and promote all planned marketing activities (special events, promotions, happenings, menu changes, etc.) on the relevant Fifth Group social channels and partner channels (content creation)
  • Create and manage calendar, including establishing posting cadence and content pillars
  • Produce original content to include photography, videography and copywriting to maintain an engaging presence on all Fifth Group Social Media channels and owned websites that aligns with each business unit's brand positioning (content creation)
  • Manage the pipeline of restaurant content through the Social Media Ambassador program to create unit-generated content, including content assignments, account management, setting and reporting on KPIs, bi-monthly meetings, deadlines, budgets and deadlines for submission (content creation)
  • Use social listening tools to monitor and distribute guest-generated content and social insights to operations and restaurant managers when necessary (trending topics, bad reviews, questions about menu items, etc. (community management)
  • Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s Social Media accounts (community management)
  • Execute paid media strategy by identifying target audiences for each brand/unit and optimizing CPA, CPC and Impressions based on learnings (paid media/Social Media buying)
  • Analyzing the company’s Social Media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements (strategy and analytics)
  • Researching Social Media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities (trend and competitive analysis)
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for Social Media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance, both organic and paid, against the KPIs (reporting and analytics)
Knowledge, skills, & abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or other relevant field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in business, marketing communications or related professional area
  • Experience managing Social Media advertising campaigns including reporting
  • Experience in using innovative communication tools (email marketing, social listening and social automation)
  • Knowledge and experience in Social Media networking tools and marketing.
  • Prior experience with luxury or lifestyle brands preferred
  • Prior experience in foodservice, hospitality or experiential marketing preferred
  • Sprout Social or similar Social Media management tools
  • MyEmma or similar email marketing tools
  • WordPress
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Video editing capabilities a plus
  • Familiarity with Google AdWords a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Candidates must be located within the commuting distance of Atlanta, Georgia, or be willing to relocate to the area
  • Regular travel between restaurants, offices, and other meeting locations will be required
  • Regularly requires sitting, and/or work at the computer for extended periods of time
  • This person needs to have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Good fine motor dexterity and cognitive ability for effective typing
