We are seeking an experienced and aviation-loving Social Media specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. As the Social Media specialist, you'll be responsible for managing and enhancing our company's social and online brand reputation. This will include developing and executing Social Media strategies and campaigns, engaging with our growing online community, and constantly monitoring and analyzing our Social Media metrics to improve our performance. The successful candidate will be an essential player in our efforts to grow and engage our online community, build brand awareness, and drive prospective students to train with Thrust Flight.
You will oversee managing our Social Media accounts by implementing effective strategies and tactics that will not only grow our followers but also engage with and retain those we currently do have. You'll also work towards converting our Social Media audience into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company.
The ideal candidate should be an avid aviation lover, an excellent communicator, a creative writer, and a team player. You should possess a strong command of the best practices and trends in Social Media marketing, and reputation management, enjoy being creative and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. As an active participant in data collection and analysis, you will play a critical role in improving our Social Media and brand reputation practices consistently.
Social Media Specialist Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple Social Media accounts & maintain the brand reputation and voice for each account
- Work with Marketing Manager to develop Social Media content plans consistent with the company's brand identity.
- Creating consistent, meaningful, and shareable content on all Social Media platforms, including writing, and editing Social Media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting Social Media campaigns.
- Monitoring and engaging in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand-new audiences.
- Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the company's Social Media presence and performance.
- Communicating with Social Media followers, including responding to queries promptly.
- Creation of basic graphic design materials for Social Media and/or marketing campaigns
- Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in reputation management Social Media.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Aviation enthusiast with an understanding of the industry
- Degree in a related field or a minimum of 2 years working in similar roles
- Experience running Social Media accounts with examples of your work
- Passion for Social Media marketing, content creation, and copywriting
- Comfortable being and speaking on camera (Tik Tok and Youtube)
- Expertise in multiple Social Media platforms; Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, etc.
- Familiar with Canva. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- An eye for detail, and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of videography and photography is a great addition
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Must be able to adapt from project to project
- Multitasking and analytical skills
