Social Media And Marketing Support

We are seeking an individual with a passion for media content creation and Marketing, whilst also doing good and having fun supporting youth of all abilities and special needs, in the various programs we host - karate, art/creative workshops, camps, field trips, etc.

As we are in the process of filing as a non-profit, this position can be a great resume builder or with success, you can expand your role with us.

Our Mission
At Beyond Karate, we provide physical training beyond martial arts. Our programs include a variety of activities geared towards families, teens and children, including individuals with special needs. Our goal is to support and empower growth, self-esteem and teach the tools required to live life with greater confidence and purpose. We meet each student where they are and create a plan for them that highlights their abilities and encourages them to level up for success!

Candidate will demonstrate fluent knowledge of the current, ever-changing social landscape and social platforms to build professional and relatable content by getting to know our students, teachers, through providing hands on support with the programs. In helping us grow and diversify our Social Media presence across multiple platforms, we believe we can engage families, increase brand awareness, and client acquisition.

Responsibilities:
• A passion for creating content – ability to shoot stills, jump on camera, and create short-form video to keep up with daily and weekly growth trends.
• Establish, activate, and manage an integrated strategy across Social Media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other relatable channels.
• Take a data-driven approach to inform and activate overall social strategy to increase awareness and engagement. Testing, learning, and implementing strategy updates focused on growth.
• Conducts online marketing initiatives, such as paid ad placement, affiliate programs, sponsorship programs, email promotions, or viral marketing campaigns on various websites.
• Work closely with the director and management teams to define and execute content plans aligned with the overarching brand strategy.
• Seamlessly execute Social Media brand campaigns, and partnerships, from start to finish including Content creation, messaging, brand voice, and storytelling.
• Partner with the Influencer + Community team to expand on our influencer/creator network on organic social.
• Report overall performance and insights on trends, algorithms, and changes of the social landscape to Leadership.

Qualifications:
• Social Media and digital marketing experience or currently studying the field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with youth.
• Be self-motivated, responsible for assigned tasks and be able to communicate in a timely manner when issues arise, need assistance and/or unable to meet deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints
• Team player mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience working in smaller, high-growth company is a plus
• Knowledge of paid Social Media marketing is a plus
• Prior experience working at a camp or after school program a plus!

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Background in Martial Arts a plus!

Schedule:
• Most programs are weekday afternoons and Saturdays, with summer camps running 9am - 5pm

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time
Salary: $16 - $21.00 per hour starting range, but can improve with results of campaigns
