About the Job:
The Social Media & Content Marketing Manager is responsible for defining Freedom Boat Club's Content Marketing strategy and organic Social Media strategy including execution while improving brand awareness and fostering consumer engagement and loyalty.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, have attention to detail, be passionate about Social Media and be skilled at Content Marketing, as a path to driving business and marketing goals. We are looking for a seasoned marketer who has prior experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and leadership, to effectively build brand awareness, drive consideration and prompt conversions through strategic content development and activation. The ideal candidate has a mindset and ability to collaborate effectively alongside internal creative and digital teams. S/he has a willingness to leverage existing processes while drawing upon experience to champion new processes and implement best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partnering brand marketing, create an overarching content strategy for Freedom Boat Club along with a supporting organic Social Media strategy.
  • Develop effective content sprouting strategies to drive amplification and build awareness, aligning to audience channel preferences (be where our consumers and members are)
  • Work alongside brand and digital marketing to build out content calendar inclusive of organic Social Media posts, video creation, blog posts and influencer integrations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end content process from concept through execution ensuring that content is timely, engaging, and aligned to brand goals.
  • Partner with SEO digital teammates to ensure search insights and the right keywords are infused throughout searchable content to drive SEO performance.
  • Strategize cross-functionally with digital marketing and creative services on planning, execution and performance of key launches and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing and shared teams to create and manage a content calendar.
  • Manage organic social platforms, including global responsibilities with major channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Ownership of Social Media playbook, including an annual audit of channel performance, brand strategy inclusive of goals, KPIs and best practices
  • Work with brand marketing and the broader field marketing teams to curate content and drive awareness of owned channels and mobile applications
  • Explore new channel opportunities with test and learn strategies to ensure Freedom Boat Club stays relevant on Social Media.
  • Lead content opportunities by identifying cross-brand synergies and communicating with industry partners.
  • Strategize cross-functionally with digital marketing and creative services on planning, execution and performance of key launches and campaigns.
  • Analyze Social Media performance data to support strategic and executional recommendations.
  • Track, monitor and report on Social Media KPIs.
  • Capture live content at key brand and consumer activations such as photoshoots, boat shows, and consumer facing events.
  • Train franchisees and field marketing teams on brand Social Media best practices, including oversight of the Social Media brand playbook.
  • Organize and produce content with special guests, influencers, and industry partners.
  • Executes against brand influencer strategy, identifying and working with key influencers to drive growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or related course of study
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience including Social Media management and developing and executing a Social Media strategy
  • Proven track record with Content Marketing including developing effective content sprouting strategies and driving them through to execution
  • Intermediate skill level of experience with SEO
  • Intermediate level of experience creating engaging content for Social Media including Reels, Stories, YouTube shorts
  • Intermediate level of experience with Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite
  • Intermediate level of experience with influencer management as well as management tools such as Klear.
  • Intermediate skill level with a design tool such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage multiple workstreams including projects with outside vendors/agencies to hit deadlines Prior experience managing content development forecasting and budget
  • Proven track record of organizational skills and management across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven track record with presenting in front of large stakeholder audiences (25-50 ppl)
  • Demonstrated success translating visual and written brand identity to content including video, Social Media, blogs and other content types
  • Passion for learning and remaining current on all forms of Social Media including emerging channels such as TikTok.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and ability to develop on-brand copy with strong attention to detail.
  • Have a passion and desire to engage on Social Media in real-time, including nights and weekends on occasion.
  • Open to 25% domestic travel in support of brand and consumer activations such as photoshoots, dealer events and boat shows with additional international travel as required for global brands.
  • A passion for content creation that resonates and is personalized to target audiences.
  • Ability to support community management across dedicated brands.
  • Intermediate level of experience with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment within a matrix organization.
