Smt Machine Operator

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experience SMT Machine Operator, responsible for operating and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines used in the assembly of electronic components. Your primary duties will include setting up, programming, and monitoring SMT machines to ensure the accurate placement of surface mount components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will work closely with the manufacturing team to meet production goals and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Configure SMT machines according to production requirements, including the selection of appropriate feeders, nozzles, and programs.
• Load and unload materials such as solder paste, reels of components, and PCBs onto the SMT machine.
• Monitor the production process to ensure accurate component placement and inspect boards for defects. Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed to maintain high-quality standards.
• Identify and resolve issues related to machine malfunctions, misplacements, or other operational problems. Collaborate with maintenance technicians for complex problem-solving. Utilize calipers, micrometers and gauges to test quality of product.
• Perform routine maintenance on SMT machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing components to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and any adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
• Work closely with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals and address any challenges that arise.

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an SMT Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Familiarity with SMT machines and related equipment.
• Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Hours: 7AM-3:30PM, Monday - Friday
