Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Initiate set-up, run, troubleshoot, changeover of bottling lines. Collection of production data and production samples for statistical and quality programs. To ensure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlay’s mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Set up and changeovers on the production line.
- Operate filler and packaging equipment on production line.
- Operate pail machine and bag-in-box filling machines when scheduled.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain line checks, gather and deliver samples for Lab.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Assist in routine maintenance functions.
- Gather and maintain required materials; bottles, caps, tape, boxes.
- General housekeeping, removal of trash, clean work area.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
QUALITY AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for consistently maintaining safe quality food products by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring visitors, contactors and customers are documented on each visit in and out of the facility to maintain good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense/food security and HACCP controls.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Ensure all safety work practices are adhered to.
- Exhibit an understanding of quality standards and ability to speak to Finlays quality systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written.
- Must be a team player, flexible and have good time management skills.
- Must be quality conscious and detail oriented.
- Must be able to work overtime or start earlier hours as needed.
- Mechanically inclined and understand the production process.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or GED.
- Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Wet, Humid, and Hot.
- Able to stand, bend, and stretch while working on machine.
- Able to relocate 75-pound boxes.
- Moderate noise level.
