Slitter Operator - Printing Manufacturing

We are a high-end label manufacturing company looking for an experienced Slitter Operator. We specialize in labels for the cosmetic industry.

Job Summary

Responsible for the set-up and operation of slitting equipment to cut printed master rolls of labels to customer specified width and length dimensions while ensuring safety, quality and production standards are met.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the slitter equipment to slit rolls of labels printed on flexible plastic film and paper to specified length and width
• Rewinds labels according to customer specifications and internal procedures
• Maintain acceptable production, waste, quality, and safety standards
• Visually inspect finished samples for defects to ensure customer quality standards and requirements are met
• Complete production paperwork and data entry on PC in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot equipment and product quality issues
• Ability to inspect and spot label roll defects and correct as needed
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous related experience preferred

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
