Ultra-met, located in Urbana, Ohio, is a privately owned and growing company. We have an immediate opening for a Government Program Manager with concentrations in Federal Contracting!
Company Overview: The Ultra-met Company is a leading independent manufacturer of tungsten carbide products for fabricators and tool makers that will be used in a wide range of industries such as the United States Government, automotive, aerospace, medical, petroleum, and woodworking industries. The manufacturing process involves making tungsten carbide powder, pressing, forming, sintering, and grinding operations. We are a locally owned, privately held, long-term growth-oriented company.
Summary: This position is responsible for the management and coordination of project schedules/timelines for DoD related projects. The primary customer is the Department of Defense. This role will also serve as the liaison between Senior Management, Operations, and Government Sales.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Utilizing SAM to establish and maintain entity.
- Accessing and Processing CPARS to maintain compliance.
- Maintain weekly interactions with internal and external customers via face-face-meetings, teleconferences, etc.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on capacity, cycles times, quality, performance, and other data requested by the government.
- Manage and update government project schedules/timelines as required in contract CDRL.
- Provide FAR and DFAR subject matter determination in response to various solicitations, white papers, and contract modifications.
- Perform detailed cost analysis to support government fair and reasonable determinations when responding to proposals and OTAs.
- Work with the GSA to establish Commercial Item determination for various commercial offerings.
- Administer various government portals to include SAMs, DLA, JCP, CPARS, PIEE, and OFCCPC.
- Identify and maintain CMMC 2.0 (NIST 800-171) requirements and compliance.
- Coordinate and manage $10M+ capital expansion for the DoD manufacturing facility.
- Provide support to the manufacturing process owners, the customer, and company departments as it relates to DoD contracts and manufacturing.
- Perform project management and Government Contract administration to include but not limited to bi-weekly meetings with the government program managers, manufacturing, and management personnel.
- Remain the single point of contact to the government customer by answering questions and submitting data and reports.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with U.S. DoD-preferably in weapons
Minimum of 3 years of experience in repetitive manufacturing-preferably in high mix, low volume environment
Experience in managing capital equipment projects-machine purchase and installation.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
Able to multi-task
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
