Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Shop Helper to join our team. The Shop Helper - Fabrication at Frazer reports to the Fabrication & Weld Supervisor, and as a SHOP HELPER you will receive the necessary training to be able to navigate through the Deburr, Pemnnut, Chop Saw, and Time Save work stations.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Shop Helper - Fabrication Look Like?

1. Using spreadsheets in correspondence with job travelers to identify the necessary material that needs to be deburred, time saved, chop sawed, or require pem nuts according to priority.
2. Operating power tools to grind the edges or enclosure of machined material to remove any sharp edges or deformities in order to make parts usable for production. (Deburr)
3. Prepping and inspecting the surface of machined aluminum parts by the use of the time save machine/DA sander prior to paint application. (Time save)
4. Utilizing a tape measure and operating a chop saw to cut various parts within the specified tolerance in accordance with the print/drawing for each part. (Chop saw)
5. Operating the pem nut machine to ensure the correct size pemnuts are being inserted in the specific locations indicated on the drawings/blueprints for each part. (Pem nut)
6. Ensuring the correct jobs are being processed through the use of job travelers to confirm the fabrication job number, item number, and the number of parts are the same.
7. Inspecting all parts and reporting any discrepancies or deformities to the material.
8. Labeling and transporting all material and corresponding job travelers to the next work center upon job completion.
9. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout the day.
10. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/lead.
11. Completion of forklift certification through the company.

Required Education and Experience:

• NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We will train you!
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Prior use of air tools and measuring instruments is preferred.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.

Oh, and $alary
Of course, we didn't forget salary... Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $15.00-$20.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.
