The Shop Designer is responsible for bringing the Krispy Kreme shop experience to life with the visualization of new ideas and shop designs. This role primarily draws and does renderings and is a junior-level position, great for those with a few years working in a firm prior ready to make the leap to the corporate side.
A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Create unique experiential designs for Krispy Kreme locations domestically and internationally.
- Layout test-fits for site plans and tenant finish out projects in a quick and efficient manner.
- Create realistic renderings and 3D models of proposed shops.
- Drive the execution of the process for special projects with the ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Facilities, Real Estate, Construction as well as outside vendors.
- Assist and support franchisees in their design efforts including store planning, site planning, prototype designs, and new fixture development.
- Initiate and develop new store design initiatives including architectural, interior, graphic, and merchandising elements
- Lead efforts to share best practices across franchisee markets with respect to store design
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or similar field.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail store design in the restaurant or retail industry.
- General understanding of building codes, environmental regulations, and NSF standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of architectural design plans and materials.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio, Photoshop, & Sketch-up.
- Experience managing outside design consultants including architectural, interior, and graphic experts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and build effective working relationships.
- Ability to efficiently work in a hybrid (remote and in-office) environment*
