Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

SUMMARY:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will oversee the shipments and deliveries at the Saturn Petcare Inc. plant location. Efficient organization and communication skills to maintain a well scheduled flow of activity into and out of the plant is a priority. The role is important to the overall operation of the warehouse. Opportunity exists to also assist the warehouse operators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Communicates with suppliers, carriers, and 3PL partners to coordinate incoming and outbound shipments
• Maintains the shipping and receiving calendar for appointments
• Fills out and maintains shipping and receiving paperwork
• Works closely with Customer Fulfillment and Demand Planning on order planning and fulfillment
• Works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor on day-to-day tasks and projects
• Communicates with the security team on arrivals of incoming and outbound shipments
• Operate a forklift for unloading of small shipments upon receipt and to assist warehouse operators when applicable

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience working in a factory or production environment is a plus

Computer and Technology Skills:

The successful candidate will be proficient in MS Office applications, and SAP or other ERP systems

Skills and Ability:

Ability to motivate and influence others. Significant level of diplomacy and trust. Excellent oral and written communications abilities. Professional image that promotes Saturn Petcare’s brand and culture. Excellent judgment and decision-making skills. Solid interpersonal abilities. Excellent presentation and organizational skills. Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
