Job summary
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for efficiently controlling productivity through direct supervision of warehouse associates.
Shipping/Receiving Supervisors are responsible for leading, training and supervising all associates under this position.
They are responsible for safe loading/unloading of all customers & product.
They are required to check and complete all required paperwork.
They are also required to maintain inventories, operate forklifts, and perform quality checks.
Shipping/Receiving Supervisors will need to communicate any issues to management in a timely manner.

This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current manager:
- To ensure Total Customer Satisfaction Lead, train, and supervise all personnel under this position.
- Ensure all safety rules and regulations are continually observed and followed.
- Responsible for continued safety inspections and awareness.
- Supervise the receiving, shipping, and miscellaneous work to be performed for assigned customers.
- Schedule the work while in process, taking responsibility for quality and efficiency.
- Train and cross-train all hourly associates in all warehouse functions.
- Assist with the applicant interviewing process.
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and methods to associates as required.
- Maintain Quantix standards of housekeeping inside and outside of the warehouse.
- Investigate any unsafe or unsanitary conditions and initiate corrective action immediately.
- Investigate inventory issues from the department.
- Root cause any missed deliveries or shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain security discipline; ensure daily check of the facility when closing.
- Conduct performance reviews for subordinates and conduct communication sessions for hourly associates.
- Responsible for any other duties or tasks as assigned by Management and to take direction from Management at all times.
Minimum requirements
- High School Education, but some college preferred.
- Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication abilities with internal and external customers.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Understanding of an inventory system
- Knowledge of safe working practices in an industrial area
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties in an independent manner with minimal supervision.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
Position Responsibilities
