Summary:
The shipping-Receiving Inventory Associate is responsible for tracking inventory levels, handling all aspects of shipping and receiving, and keeping accurate records. On the shipping side, he/she packages items, prints labels, weighs packages and determines appropriate postage.
Responsibilities:
- Processing orders of finished goods for shipment
- Store and control items in stock room and designated satellite storage locations
- Pick items and product to fill orders
- Receive incoming material.
- Kitting of parts for production use.
- Working with UPS Worldship, FedEx.com and other shipping services to include trucking companies. Experience is a plus.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Performs other essential duties as assigned by management
- Loading and unloading trucks by hand, a hand pallet jack and/or a walk behind fork lift

- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Position requires a positive attitude that works well under pressure, along with a high degree of professionalism
- Communication skills – Good verbal, listening and written. Ability to maintain documentation in accordance with ISO and 5S stipulations.
- Able to learn and accept feedback. Being able to communicate and support other departments is a major focus for this position.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must recognize the need for accurate records of transactions in shipping customer orders, receiving items associated with purchase orders, processing repair orders and kitting materials for production.
- Utilize SAP / ERP on user level.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Citizen, Green Card)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Computer literacy required; Knowledge of SAP is preferred)
- Highly detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively in team environment
