Element has an opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Will organize inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk reports to the Department Supervisor, performing work within an independent environment, ensuring shipping/receiving duties are completed timely, within budget, and with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are completed according to company policies and procedures.
- Interact with those who are delivering or collecting shipments.
- Responsible for logging incoming deliveries, notifying recipients of package arrival, and monitor delivered packages.
- Responsible for shipping and receiving paperwork being transferred daily to primary engineering services associate for final processing and accurate record keeping.
- Assist employees with tracking inbound or outbound shipments using logistics websites to confirm shipment status.
- Maintain supplies for the receiving dock.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in Shipping & Receiving environment preferred.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel required.
- SAP or ERP System.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral required.
- Must be able to manage shipping operations, from order tracking and fulfillment to shipping processes.
- Problem solving experience required.
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds required and use pallet jack.
- Position will require employee to stand for periods of time and move around shipping/receiving dock for up to 4 hours per day.
- Must be able to work 1st Shift 7:30am-4:00pm-Monday-Friday.
