We're seeking safety-conscious and detail-oriented individuals experienced using forklifts and cranes to move materials throughout our busy manufacturing facility and to prepare items for shipment. We're hiring and excited to meet you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Prepares the items for shipment including creation, and verification of the proper records for incoming and outgoing shipments. Performs as material handler for operations using side-loaded and front-loaded forklifts and overhead cranes, up to 20T.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Others as assigned.
- Assist truck drivers, insuring the compliance with all RFC procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensure lifting devices are inspected, serviced, and maintained and for performing and documenting regular inspections, which could include checking lubrications, filling fuel tank, changing batteries, or replacing liquefied gas tanks.
- Operate lift equipment to move, load and unload materials onto or from pallets, racks, shelves and boxes by hand or with lifting devices in order to deliver material to and from the production areas.
- Load and unload trucks with lift equipment, including the creation of all documentation required for incoming and outgoing shipments. Must insure material is properly packed, labeled and verified for accuracy against bill of lading, pack list and any other records.
- Record shortages and correspond with appropriate internal department to advise appropriate personnel of damage, potential damage, part count, or other discrepancies.
- Maintain material areas which must be clean and in order with proper tagging on all materials.
Schedule: Currently seeking 2nd or 3rd shift**
1st - Monday to Friday, 6AM to 2:30PM.
2nd - Monday to Friday, 2PM to 10:30PM. $1/hour shift premium
3rd - Sunday overnight to Thursday overnight, 10PM to 6:30AM. $1.50/hr shift premium
Must be open to overtime hours as needed.
**Will train on another shift before going to assigned shift.
Qualifications
- Two or more years' related material handling and/or shipping experience in a manufacturing or related work environment. Including: using computers, forklift/material handling, overhead cranes, warehouse/inventory, shipping/receiving.
- Available to work open shift and overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on regular basis
Preferred
- Possesses valid drivers’ license
- Experience with MRP system, Global Shop Solutions
