Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs
- Willing to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including all PPE requirements
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
Role Responsibilities:
- Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts, cranes and pallet jacks.
- Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments and rejects damaged items.
- Receives material and processes all tag generation.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to create/modify Bills of Ladings.
- Supports the shipment of coils produced and the received coils
- Checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality
- Responsible for managing truck flow for Shipping/Receiving area
- Interprets Customer Release Information
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety policies.
Physical Demands:
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May involve some repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
Requirements:
- Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties
- Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklifts and overhead cranes
