Job Title: Parts Department Associate
We are seeking a motivated individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive/truck parts to join our team as a Parts Department Associate. The Parts Associate will be responsible for assisting all customers and mechanics in securing parts and supplies as well as ensuring efficient handling and control of the parts inventory through proper receiving, parts inventory storage organization, parts procurement, parts invoicing, and other duties specified by the Parts Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Efficient handling and control of the parts inventory
- Proper receiving, parts inventory storage organization, parts procurement, parts invoicing
- Read automotive/truck diagrams, breakdowns, and component identification
- Look up parts using electronic parts catalogs
- Provide parts to internal technicians, builders, and external customers
- Use computers and credit card machines
- Speak clearly and listen attentively
- Work on feet, stand, and walk for most of the shift
- Lift up to 70 pounds
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive/truck parts
- Great communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proven background as a cohesive parts department team member
- Allison transmission parts experience is a plus
