Summary
The shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the shipping of finished product and the receiving of supplies, materials and orders that will ultimately be used to make our finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receive incoming shipments and check them for damages, overages and shortages as compared to the freight bill received with the product.
Place incoming items in the appropriate storage areas and label per standards.
Review work orders assigned for the week and pick materials for each order to ensure they are present and ready for assembly
Operate a forklift and pallet jack to lift items and move them to the appropriate location.
Loading and unloading of trucks as well as determining safe ways of stacking items on the truck and retrieving items in a safe manner that does not damage products.
Record damaged or defective items in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure that all outgoing shipments are properly labeled for shipment.
Provide the weights and dimensions for outgoing shipment to Logistics.
Organize and maintain shipping documentation and Bill of Ladings.
Operate box truck for pickup or delivery of finished products or tops to and from suppliers.
Ordering shipping supplies as needed to ensure packaging materials are on hand to complete orders.
Maintain the cleanliness of the shipping area and the areas and storage locations outside the building as well as inside.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
