Huntsman is seeking a Shipping Operator supporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, Texas. This position will report to the Shipping Supervisor.
Job Scope
Through adherence to all established Operational and EH&S policies, procedures, and practices; performs all tasks necessary to ensure the safe and productive operations of assigned process units.
As the Shipping Operator you will:
- Perform necessary work in inspecting, loading, and unloading bulk and nonbulk shipments including tankwagons, ISOs, railcars, and box trailers while maintaining quality and on-spec products. Fill out and maintain all shipment checklists and records per loading/unloading procedures. Draw product shipping samples for laboratory COA analysis.
- Maintain current, detailed knowledge and understanding of all shipping area equipment and chemicals that are loaded/unloaded along with the contents of Shipping procedures manual and Conroe EHS procedures manual as applicable for Shipping area.
- Manage dropped trailer area and operates yard mule.
- Warehouse Forklift Operator.
- Clean & lockout tagout equipment per ECP's for Maintenance per Maintenance Schedule. Maintain good housekeeping habits to ensure the cleanliness, neatness, and order of work area and equipment. Submit work order notifications, issue Safe work permits, ect.
- Member of the Emergency Response Team and High Angle Recue.
Other general responsibilities:
- Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
- Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals.
Qualifications
You must possess all the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of specific working experience OR associate degree in Process Technology with 6+ months of specific work experience.
- 5+ years of chemical plant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree with a preference for experience as a Shipping Operator.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Must have a level of proficiency with internet, email and Microsoft programs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must meet Fire Brigade physical requirements including the ability to wear a respirator and carry up to 50-pound equipment.
- Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.
- Must be willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and work nights, weekends and holidays.
