GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW
Make rail volume projection based on vessel schedule. Send the rail billing in timely manner. Monitoring rail cargo’s idling status and report to manager and concerned parties. Trouble shooting concerned rail billing issue and support inland service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Understanding HMM System (Compass) logic for rail billing system.
- Check with terminal for on / off dock projection.
- Send the rail billing thru the program before vessel arrive and check with terminal that EDI accepted.
- Make daily rail volume idling report for Inbound cargo and check release plan.
- Make daily rail volume idling report for Outbound cargo and check release plan.
- Trouble shooting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Communication skills with co-workers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn knowledge of shipping industry, intermodal and equipment operations.
- Computer skills, able to work with MS office tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
- General understanding of International Container Business especially inland service in US area.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required
