Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation of the warehouse and production department. This position is responsible for shipping, inspecting, recording, and processing outgoing shipments, as well as preparing and shipping outbound orders. The Shipping Clerk ensures that materials and products are handled and distributed accurately and in a timely manner, contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
1. Shipping:
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Process shipping labels and tracking information
2. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
- Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts.
- Ensure organized and efficient storage of materials and products.
3. Communication:
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill orders and maintain smooth operations.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor or manager
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in shipping operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
International shipping experience
Knowledge of basic computer applications for data entry and record-keeping.
Ability to operate material handling equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical fitness and the capability to lift and move heavy objects.
Working Conditions:
