ROEMHELD North America is a leading Power Workholding device and systems solutions provider serving the precision machining industry. We are looking for a motivated Shipping and Receiving Specialist I who will be responsible for the Shipping and Receiving of parts and equipment, mostly from the vast ROEMHELD product portfolio that include machine vises, hydraulic clamps, work supports, and Zero Point mounting systems. This position reports directly to the Technical Services/Warehouse supervisor.
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is an energetic, hands-on team player. He/she takes responsibility for providing excellent logistics customer service. The person in this role will perform tasks serving our company and our customers in the areas of shipping, receiving, storage and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Selecting/picking and shipping customer orders accurately and timely to meet contractual shipping dates.
• Checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
• Preparing and maintains records of merchandise received and shipped.
• Putting away stock in the warehouse or preparing for shipment.
• Managing inventory of products stored in the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Collaborating with carriers to schedule pickups of shipments to customers and vendors.
• Updating computer system with shipping/receiving activity and manage inventory locations.
• Ensuring packages are on time and accurate for customer shipments.
• Ensure products are packaged properly and professionally, exercising due care to mitigate possibility of damage during shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Performing building maintenance or other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and write English and use simple math
• Ability to follow verbal instructions or written instructions outlined in diagrams
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email application
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable
• Ability to lift objects up to 70lbs.
• Must be highly motivated and able to learn through experience.
• At least 1 year in a warehouse environment performing Shipping and Receiving duties preferred but not required.
