Shipping and Receiving

Industrial company in search of trustworthy professional to maintain and organize various types of inventories and ensure shipments arrive at destinations on time and within budget. Coordination and storage of incoming shipments, overseeing and the packaging of outgoing shipments/deliveries, and negotiating transportation costs with carriers.

Essential Job Functions Include but are not limited to:

· Start to finish preparation and packaging of outgoing material and products

· Run checks on picked orders to make sure that the proper labels, bar codes, and batch numbers are in place

· Reviewing with existing employees on new procedures and corrective action plans

· Ensure Safety Practices are adhered to and maintain an inclusive workplace

· Enhancement of productivity, speed, and accuracy

· Complete necessary paperwork where it is required

· Work with other departments of the company, to identify and resolve complaints from customers; work with purchasing to maintain a healthy inventory level; and resolve discrepancies with the Accounting Dept.

· Resolve all shipping-related issues that may arise

· Control and direct the movement of packages from the preparation level to the delivery level

· Manage all shipping-related documents like pick-up slips and any other Shipping and/or delivery document

· Work in collaboration with departmental managers to ensure a free-flowing process

· Make use of necessary computer software to check and track shipped orders.

· Coordinate logistics for deliveries

· Verify all incoming merchandise and ensure appropriate storage and documentation

· Maintain precise and accurate documentation of existing inventory and shipped goods

· Organization of shipping materials and supplies

· Handle returns in conjunction with Sales & Accounting Department

· Inspect all incoming and outgoing packages of accuracy & damage

• Problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before it occurs and handle issues appropriately if arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
