We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team and contribute to the efficient flow of inventory and exceptional customer service.
Position Overview: As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing the intake and outflow of inventory. You will be responsible for receiving new merchandise, handling returns to vendors, managing special orders for customers, and coordinating outsourced repairs. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory shipments.
- Ensure accurate recording of received items in the inventory management system.
- Organize and maintain the inventory storage area for easy accessibility.
- Returns and Exchanges:
- Process merchandise returns to vendors efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to communicate any discrepancies or issues with returned items.
- Special Orders:
- Assist customers in placing special orders for customized or unique jewelry pieces.
- Communicate with vendors to track and expedite special orders.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and provide customers with updates on their orders.
- Outsourced Repairs:
- Manage the outsourcing of jewelry repairs to trusted service providers.
- Maintain detailed records of repair requests, including tracking timelines and costs.
- Communicate with customers regarding repair status and estimated completion dates.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing merchandise to ensure it meets the store's standards.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective items to the appropriate department.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with various departments, including sales, purchasing, and customer service, to ensure a seamless flow of information.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and repair service providers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.76 per hour
