Job Overview:
The Warehouse Associate supports the U.S. entities shared resources team and is responsible for a variety of warehousing tasks to ensure timely distribution, storage, inspection, and delivery of products by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Essential Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders/purchase orders.
- Complete daily processing of scheduled shipments to determine order picking activities.
- Determine method of shipments, arrange for a carrier vehicle or pickup and prepare all shipping documents.
- Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.
- Complete inventory activities including accurate item counts, stock movement, and stock journal.
- Follow quality control standards by verifying the identification number of goods.
- Maintain and organize accurate records of goods.
- Monitor emails to ensure timely handling of all inquiries.
- Communicate daily with sales and service administration departments to ensure accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers and sales representatives regarding shipping inquiries.
- Collaborate with marketing department to prepare, ship, and receive tradeshow items.
- Safely operate forklift to load, unload, transport, and store goods within warehouse.
- Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company procedures.
- Handle returns and exchanges by ensuring that reverse distribution processes are followed properly.
- Calculate shipping costs upon request.
- Follow safe storage and handling procedures for chemicals and materials.
- Assist with minor assembly of items using hand and power tools as needed.
- Assist logistics department with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-year equivalent work experience preferred
- Exceptional work ethic and a self-starter
- Ability to multitask and pay attention to details
- Inventory control data entry and knowledge of ERP systems preferred
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to work both as a team and independently
- Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
- Basic Office 365 knowledge (Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Great organizational skills, to meet daily deadlines
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
Location: Port St. Lucie, FL Facility
Physical demands and work environment:
The company provides a smoke and vape-free environment on company premises for its employees, customers, and visitors.
Ability to work in a warehouse type environment and perform activities standing or sitting over a length of time, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating tools and equipment that require good vision and a steady hand. Ability to operate a forklift.
