Shipper/Receiver
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for receiving chemicals and other items into inventory, and shipping the Company’s products and items according to State, Federal and International regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Pull correct items for boxing
- Assemble appropriate paper work, packaging, supplies, and labels.
- Check manufacturing packet for special instructions
- Confirm that all product labels are correct before packaging into finished goods box
- Box material in compliance with all SOP’s
- Bring finished goods to warehouse storage area and deliver completed packets for keying
- Moving product inventory to and from appropriate areas.
- Reviews bills of lading/packing slips for incoming materials.
- Enters incoming material information into the Company’s computer system.
- Performs material put-away in compliance with separation and segregation rules
- Performs inventory cycle counts
- Participate in process improvement team activities.
- Prints daily orders for processing
- Prints CofA’s, Safety Data Sheet and Packing Lists as needed
- Pulls and stages material for shipment processing
- Confirms shelf life
- Other duties as assigned
- Prepares outgoing shipments ensuring proper packaging, paperwork and labeling meet all Company, State, Federal and International requirements and regulations
- Completes airway bills of lading, hazardous material paperwork, and other pertinent documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Facilitates problem-free import/export with US and International freight forwarders.
- Ensures integrity of information entered into the Company’s computer system to maintain accuracy and traceability.
- Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.
- Maintains appropriate certifications for shipping of hazardous goods by air, land and sea as appropriate.
- Prepare shipping quotes for Company personnel and customers.
- Provide answers to customer inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 Years Warehousing experience
· DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification a plus
· Hazardous Materials Air Shipper Certification (IATA) a plus
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification
· Hazardous Materials Air Shipper Certification (IATA)
· One to three years related experience and/or training in the field.

WORK CONDITIONS
- Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels.
- Ability to tolerate OSHA safe levels of solvents, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals with a minimum of discomfort, as is sometimes experiences in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lifting and moving loads up to 50 pounds.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers (or skill with adaptive devices) to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment.
