Description
Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lansing Delta Township Assembly Plant on a full-time basis.
The Role:
In this role, you will coach, train, develop and evaluate employees. You will provide assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems and assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations. Work involves a considerable amount of initiative in decision-making accompanied by a high level of independent discernment.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Nearly constant contact with others outside the work group
Administers divisional and Corporate policies
Meets cost, schedule and quality requirements
Maintains Corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance in addition to maintaining safety and good housekeeping standards
Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
Assist in the forecasting of areas of responsibility and Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job or project
Assists in the overall direction and coordination of manufacturing activities
Manage salaried group leaders in the implementation and execution of the established business process for an area in the production operations and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation
Possess the ability to deal with complex problems
Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
7 years of manufacturing experience
Experience managing salaried employees
Experience working in a unionized facility
Production Operations Management experience
Ability to rotate between 1st and 2nd shift (every 3-4 months)
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
7+ years of manufacturing experience
GMS expert
Bachelor's degree
