The Ark Shelter supports youth and families who are in crisis to become stable, develop strong and healthy relationships, and develop positive, achievable goals for the future. The Shelter Care Worker provides daily support to youth by assuring a safe and healthy environment, empowering youth to identify healthy life style behaviors and to develop positive decision-making skills.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; reliable transportation; valid driver’s license with six (6) points or less. Experience in a residential, group home, adult foster care or direct care setting is desirable.
Full-time and part-time positions are available which may include days, nights, weekends and holidays (the Ark Shelter operates 24/7). The wage is $15.50 per hour training rate with an increase to $18.00 per hour upon completion of required training and 90 days of employment.
