Summary:
The Servicing Specialist will work with the Servicing team to ensure that loan administration and default administration functions performed by sub servicer meet contractual obligations, investor guidelines, regulatory and legal requirements, and generally accepted servicing practices.
Job Duties:
The Servicing Specialist will be responsible for completing the following job duties:
- Work as part of the loan servicing team to ensure each loan is professionally serviced and supported.
- Provide support for the company’s servicing oversight program in evaluating servicing policies, procedures, and processes.
- Perform reviews of sub servicer reports and perform testing to ensure mortgage loans are serviced in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Aid with interim servicing functions – work with servicing team to develop processes and procedures.
- Provide support for customer service inquiries regarding payment inquiries, transaction research, error resolution and general loan account questions.
- Assist with audit/exam requests for data and documentation.
- Participate in monthly calls with sub servicer to discuss oversight activities, performance, and trends.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
The following qualification are required of the Servicing Specialist:
Education:
- A college degree with 5-years related experience and/or training in mortgage servicing/ mortgage banking. A combination of equivalent education and experience is acceptable.
Experience:
- Experience with FNMA/Freddie Mac/NYS DFS Servicing guidelines and mortgage servicing requirements
- Well-developed professional customer service skills -verbal and written communication – able to effectively explain specific loan details to customers in understandable terms.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as: Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
- Ability to understand sophisticated mathematical models and concepts.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain focus
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations
- Ability to construct conditions for missing items so that this information can be conveyed to the customer in a timely manner

Compensation Statement
The starting base salary range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00, hourly. This is the range of the base pay only; it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside the provided range.
