Compensation: $20 - $25/hr.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
We are currently hiring for a Service Technician for our Superior Spa, Hearth and Leisure division. We are a solid, reputable, locally-owned company with lots of opportunity for growth from within.
Job Duties:
- Troubleshooting (at location & via telephone) and servicing gas, pellet and wood fireplaces, stoves, inserts, log sets and venting including chimney work.
- Assist with the installation gas, pellet and wood fireplaces, stoves, inserts, log sets and venting.
- Complete technical training related to gas, pellet and wood appliances, as requested
- Complete technical training related to spas, saunas, grills and other products as requested.
- Trouble shoot and service spas, saunas, grills and other products, within the scope of your technical certifications and abilities.
- While at customer site abide by company curtesy and safety protocol.
- Maintain in good standings a Connecticut driver’s license.
- Ensure vehicles meet company and DOT requirements and Superior cleanliness policy, within the scope of observant driver.
- Ensure that tools and materials are properly maintained within the vehicle.
- Ensure all customers are responded to in an efficient, timely, professional and respectful manner.
- Maintain manual and computerized records pertaining to payroll, service work, travel, training and general internal and external correspondence.
- Report all accidents, customer issues, employee issues, vehicle issues to your manager or delegated person, on a timely and accurate basis as outlined in company specific policy.
- Ensure that all service work performed or assisted by you is completed and compliant with all state, federal OSHA requirements, as well as the Superior Safety Policies.
- Assist with all company efforts to promote all divisions of the company.
- Be able to provide flexibility with your standard and overtime hours to meet the needs of the position and company, may consist of before and afterhours time, and weekends.
- May at times be assigned work that is outside your standard job scope, but within your capabilities. This may include assembly of products such as grills, general maintenance within the retail stores, grounds and warehouse, delivery of product, sales assistance within the store or at promotional events.
- Work within the scope of the process and procedures provided by your manager.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Product knowledge of hot tubs, fireplaces and saunas strongly preferred
- Mechanically inclined, comfortable with power tools
- Professional appearance a must
