Work Hours:
Our office hours are from Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is no set schedule for field personnel as work schedules vary depending on client needs.
Position Overview:
A Service Programmer at Pref-Tech will be responsible for assisting customers both internal and external with various requests for security systems programming support.

The following are tasks that the position is responsible for, but not limited to:
- IP addressing of cameras, intrusion, and access control devices.
- Security/Intrusion system programming of cameras, intrusion, and access control devices within the various platforms (such as Genetec, Honeywell, Software House, DMP, Bosch, etc.)
- Assisting Service Technicians with support for the following items:
- Software Installation/Configuration/Troubleshooting
- Access Control Configuration/Troubleshooting
- Video Camera Configuration/Troubleshooting

For a Programmer II position additional duties and requirement include:
- Performing standard refresher end user training on various security system platforms as requested or required
- Participating in the On-Call rotation
- 2 years or more of experience with the above systems.
Position Requirements:
- Currently licensed or must have the ability to immediately obtain TXDPS Security License
- Must pass a drug screening and participate in the random drug screening program
- Must pass a background check
