Responsibilities include:
Meeting TAG's financial objectives for the Service Department and continually growing the business
Ensuring a positive work environment where employees work together as a team
Evaluating tech performance, helping our techs succeed, and actively recruiting new technicians
Monitoring technician training and certification requirements
Maintaining (and continuously improving) day to day shop operations
Sustaining Elite Support processes to provide a CUSTOMER OBSESSED CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Communicating effectively with all employees, customers, and management
Managing and tracking various metrics
Completing various administrative tasks including payroll, expense management, policy, etc.
Visiting our customers with outside parts and truck salesmen to build strong relationships
Working effectively with the Parts Manager and General Manager to improve sales and profit
Promoting safe work habits and ensuring that safety rules are followed
Coordinating the processing of warranty claims with warranty administrator to maximize recovery
Working with the General Manager, the Parts Manager, the Shop Foreman, and all other employees to provide a pleasant workplace for our employees and exceptional experiences for our customers
Qualifications include:
Extensive experience in a Heavy Duty Truck Dealership is strongly preferred
Effective leadership and management skills
Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to teach, coach, and mentor our technicians
Ability to prioritize the workload and delegate jobs to techs with the appropriate skill level
Good communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers
A strong work ethic and commitment to extra hours when needed
Desire to work in a fast paced, highly demanding, yet very rewarding environment
