Parallel Ag proudly carries Farm Equipment plus a full line of parts to help all farming operations. Customers have come to depend on Parallel Ag to get any job done and we are looking to add a highly motivated General Managerto our Concordia, MO team!
The General Manager is responsible for the profitability of all departments in the dealership. To achieve this, the GM must effectively manage all personnel and have strong knowledge and understanding of the agriculture market. The General Manager will have an in-depth understanding of the finances as well as strong customer relation skills. Further responsibilities of the GM will include planning, motivating, and managing the dealership team through excellent leadership and solid business practices. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.

Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities and duties of the General Manager will include the following:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Parallel Ag product portfolio for Farm Equipment
  • Create the annual dealership budget by forecasting gross Sales and operating expenses as well as the profits of the dealership
  • Meet with the sales team and department managers to plan and implement objectives for achieving revenue and gross profit goals and objectives
  • Maintain the profitability of the dealership while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Manage inventory turnover by coordinating the appropriate supply of new and used equipment
  • Work in conjunction with the Midwest VP to monitor locational inventory levels and movement of equipment
  • Ensure that the location buildings and grounds are kept up to company standards
  • Make recommendations on both short and long-term advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions, and compensation plans
  • Ensure excellent communication and cooperation between all departments of the dealership
  • Guide and direct locational personnel in all departments by ensuring that development and training requirements are met; as well as interview and hire new personnel
  • Pay close attention to the day-to-day operations of the dealership, recommending and creating improved courses of action when necessary
  • Focus on any customer complaints that the department managers need assistance with and ensure that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained
  • Uphold the company mission statement and core values
  • Embrace an atmosphere of learning and building employees to reach their highest capacity
  • Create and maintain legendary customer service and building a team-minded environment
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Experience in heavy equipment, agriculture, or automotive industries preferred
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to professionally manage difficult customer situations
  • Computer proficiency with experience with Google platform
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new people and environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute business plans and initiatives effectively
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth and achieving targets
  • Capability to handle challenging customer interactions with professionalism
  • Familiarity with financial statements and their meaning

Position Type:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm. Early morning, evening, weekend, and work on holidays may be required as job duties demand.
