Senior Service Designer
6-month+ Contract to Hire
Hybrid in Smyrna/Vinings (3x per week onsite)
Position Purpose:
The Service Designer / UX Designer Hybrid will play a pivotal role in intertwining the
physical and digital realms of our customer experiences. By blending the principles of service design with the detail-oriented practices of UX, this position aims to craft seamless, intuitive, and innovative solutions that enhance the user journey across all touch points.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Design:
– Map out user journeys and service blueprints to identify opportunities and gaps in the current service model.
– Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ideate and prototype service improvements and new offerings.
– Ensure that services align with business objectives and user needs.
1. Enterprise Design Experience
3. User Experience (UX) Design:
– Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design mockups for digital interfaces.
– Validate designs through user testing and iterate based on feedback.
– Collaborate with developers to ensure the accurate implementation of designs.
4. Collaboration & Advocacy:
– Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, marketers, and other
stakeholders.
– Serve as a user advocate, educating and rallying the team around user-centered design practices.
5. Continuous Improvement:
– Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in service and UX design.
– Regularly gather feedback, measure the impact of your designs, and iterate to improve.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Service Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
2. Min 3+ years of professional experience in service design and/or UX design.
3. Demonstrable portfolio showcasing end-to-end service and UX design projects.
4. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, or equivalent.
5. Strong understanding of design thinking, user-centered design principles, and agile
methodologies.
6. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
Preferred Requirements:
1. Master's degree in a relevant field.
2. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with multiple stakeholders.
3. Knowledge of front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
4. Certification(s) from reputable design organizations or institutions.
5. Experience in facilitating workshops or design sprints.
6. Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and best practices.
